What is the highest rank in Valorant?

As in any other multiplayer tactical shooter in the market, Valorant also has a special ranking system. While many new players know lower ranks, such as iron, bronze or gold, since they are common in most games, but may not know the exact term for the highest level in Valorant. So, for curious minds, the highest rank in Valorant is called shining and only 500 best players in each region are awarded.

During the initial launch in 2020, Valorant was called valiant itself. This decision on naming caused a lot of confusion among players and other members of the community, since they often could not determine whether the topic of discussion was a game or a prestigious rank. As a result, Riot Games over time changed the name of the highest rank in the game with Valorant on Radiant.

All Ranks in Valorant

For almost two years, there were only eight sets of ranks in the game before Riot Games presented a new level of ranks in the form of Ascentant during episode 5, Act 1. The main reason for this inclusion was to reduce the number of players formed in an immortal rank by further filtering them through a new set of ranking levels. At the moment, there are nine different ranks, each of which has three levels.
