Surrendering is not always the best way to end a match in any competitive game. But sometimes it can be a wise option if you have one or more cheaters on the enemy team. If you don't, you could lose 30 to 40 minutes of your precious game hours by participating in a losing game. So, in order to pass a match in Valorant, you need to start opt out of the voting procedure and get the approval of your teammates.

When should you stop playing Valorant?

If you are new to multiplayer games, you may choose to abandon a match in the following situations.

• Smurfing : Smurfing has been a big problem in competitive gaming for a long time, and Valorant is no exception. This is a situation where a high rated player enters a lower rated lobby via their sub account. So it's always better to save time than be intimidated by a Radiant player.
• Cheaters : Even after the introduction of effective anti-cheat systems such as Vanguard, Valorant players encounter some form of cheater at mid to high rank levels. If you see an egregious target or a wall breach, choose to surrender after discussing this with your team.

How to turn in a game in Valorant

Once you have decided to cancel the game, follow these instructions.

• Open the chat window in the lower left corner of the screen using the Login button. Enter any of the following commands /ff, /yield or /yield to initiate the voting procedure.

* You can also start the voting procedure by pressing the Esc button and pressing the surrender button below the match section.

• Press D to register your vote and ask your teammates to vote.
• Once the system has received all the confirmation votes, the server will hand over your game.
• If this is the first round of a match, you can use the remake feature as the surrender option will only be available to players. after 5 rounds.

Remember that you will lose RP if you give up in a ranked match. So think twice before voting for surrender.
