Anti-riot games watching the valiant agent skins
Riot Games is currently looking for ways to publish new agent skins in Valorant, but they have a major problem with this. The main producer of Valorant, Dexter Yu, recently declared that the team wanted to publish new skins for all the agents of Valorant, but that could harm the competitive integrity of the game. While games like Apex Legends and Overwatch have A plethora of skins for their characters, there are examples of competitive players using the Hitbox or the modified colors of a skin to obtain an advantage. Valorant is currently available exclusively for PC, but it has not yet been excluded for consoles.
While Riot Games has published a plethora of skins for its various legends in League of Legends, Valorant may not benefit from the same treatment if the valiant team fails to find how to balance it correctly for competition. The Valorant team fears that agent skins can have an impact on Valorant's gameplay because skins can affect competition in Apex Legends, Overwatch, etc. Changing the skin of a character often involves changing Hitbox, or giving it certain colors that would be beneficial to mix the environment on certain cards.
The Valorant fans base is very interested in agent skins according to Dexter Yu, but the team must perfectly optimize the Hitbox and consider other aspects of skins before publishing them. Players use points valuing in Valorant to buy skins lots and improve cosmetics from the weapon since the game released, as well as real money to get the coolest cosmetic goodies. A large part of these players are apparently interested in buying agent skins, but they will have to leave Riot Games a little time to optimize them before they can go out.
