Bandai Namco announces the One Piece Odyssey, a RPG scheduled for this year

Bandai Namco You have announced One Piece Odyssey , a title described as RPG inspired by the sleeve created by Eiichiro Oda. One Piece Odyssey is being developed by ILCA, which has participated in the creation of titles such as Voice of Cards, Nier: Automata and Replicant, Code Vein and the recent Bright diamond Pokémon and gleaming pearl. We also know that Oda, who writes and illustrates the sleeves, has created an original story for the game.

In the presentation video we have been able to see Luffy in most of the footage, which seems to confirm it as a protagonist in the same way as in the manga and anime. For the rest, it has not been possible to see much in the playable, beyond some punctual scenes without interface that included some exploration and a combat in the form of a turns role, in the style of Dragon Quest. The visual style and the animations of the game are also especially good, and even the Ode himself speaks that when he saw the results he felt "as if he was watching a movie."
